About Dan
"Getting to Know Him"
It might be said that Dan is an entrepreneur, a business man, a student, a trainer, a coach, a speaker, or hard worker. He considers himself to be someone who realized his passions and followed them.
By his senior year at the University of Rhode Island, Dan had started his own Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy, taught Jiu Jitsu seminars from Massachusetts to Maryland, and medalled at numerous national competitions - becoming a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu National Champion in October 2011.
As a Dean’s List student every semester, and the leader of numerous student organizations (including the URI Wrestling Team), Dan was admitted to (and is currently involved in) the prestigious Masters in Positive Psychology program at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dan’s extracurricular endeavors went beyond business. With the dedication and focus he developed through the martial arts, he had read nearly a hundred works on self development, positive psychology, philosophy, and productivity, and written over 1,000 pages on these and other topics toward his own self understanding, including numerous independent studies on topics from business to sport psychology.
It was around this time that Dan began helping athletic teams, Mixed Martial Arts competitors, and schools with workshops and presentations. Years of teaching experience have cultivated Dan’s exceptional knack for articulating concepts and principals and getting them to ‘click’ for the specific audience in a way that is fun and engaging.
He now works primarily with MMA schools, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academies, other Martial Artists, and College Students / Athletes to structure training to Guarantee Improvement, set and reach ambitious goals, and Quickly Develop the Important Skills they need to Win.
